Numerologically speaking the number 11 is seen as a master number by many different traditions. In its master position the number 11 brings our awareness to higher or wider perspectives, spiritual states of being, and infinite potentiality. The number 11 contains within it the numbers 1 and 2. Two representing the High Priestess in the Tarot, One representing the Magician in the Tarot. The number 11 is also seen as a gateway number, a portal through which our ideas, sense of self, identity, energy bodies, and essence can all travel through. In this way, the number 11 offers us a chance to transform quickly and with deep clarity.
Message from Dilara:
The Justice card is one of deep inner awareness and responsibility. When this card appears we can be called to make a decision from a place of equality, balanced truth, and integrity. This card represents the part of our journey in which we get to own up for our behaviour, way of being, and steps taken. Because this card can also represent the law, it is important to look at where we may have ties and ‘legislations’ within ourselves which could have kept us bound to a certain belief or ritual way of being which brings with it a sense of foreboding rather than freedom. The way to set ourselves free is by taking responsibility for the ‘laws which can bind’.
Law is changeable, malleable, so how can you be malleable in the perspectives and movement you are making towards others? Justice, in essence is a realisation and activation of truth. What is truth? Truth is what is but at the deepest level we can access it in the moment. Just like law, truth has its boulders, its solid frames and is also fluidly searching for ways to express itself (bit T and small t).
Justice calls us into brutal honesty because our entire reality is a series of the choices we make on a day-by-day basis, the Justice card invites us to bring awareness to the micro and macro choices we are making every day and during certain phases of our life.
As the Justice card is a Major Arcana card it highlights the possibility of the long term effects of our actions. Justice invites us to work with time in a conscious way through the efficacy of our decision making and as relationships are such an important aspect of our human experience, it is helpful to apply the energy of the card to our inner and outer relationships as well. Who have you been fair with? Where can there be more discernment in how you spend your energy? What decisions are you making in your relationships which have resulted in their present state?
Justice brings forth these questions: Who am I now? What decisions have I made up to this point which have facilitated the experiences I am having in this moment? Who do I want to be? What laws within me are surging for renewal and recap? What laws do I want to lay down in the world around me and the world within me? How often do I use my discernment to make decisions?
Reversed:
In its reversed position the Justice card asks us to take a look where we may have caused destruction through our choices, it indicates an avoidance of taking responsibility and an opportunity to put ‘right’ what has been ‘mistaken’. These terms are simplistic and very black and white in their nature because in essence, as humans, we tend to avoid owning up for our actions when we perceive our actions to be ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ when in fact – the nuance of the Justice card reversed is that we are also swimming in a whirlpool of possibility and grey zones. What is RIGHT doesn’t have to be RIGHT but can we bring alignment in rather than avoidance. Where are you out of or in integrity with yourself and others, can you be brough into integrity through using more mental discernment.
Message from the Herd:
There are some courses of action which create events which are harder to justify when you are experiencing them. Roads travelled which reveal who you are in the mishaps and yet do you see those journeys as mishaps, or as aspects of the adventure?
The Justice card is held as a returning, a bridge between logic and intuition and ideas of what is right. It reminds you of aligned action and purpose as well. Because aligned action is an abstract concept we will open this up for you:
To be in alignment means to be in the heart and to fill the space of the heart with the wisdom of the soul. Soul energy is curious and belongs to the unknown, human beings often reject the unknown, travelling up to the mind where all things can ‘make sense’. However, living in alignment with who you are in the here and now means rooting into the heart and working with the integrity of the mind through discernment, to take steps from a more silent place than you would have guessed. The energy of Justice is rooted in unifying duality and the mystical realm of reality. Internally, justice embodies truth, in any situation there will be multiple and perhaps infinite possibilities and versions of your truth.
What does Justice bring? It brings a lightness to the human endeavour to reclaim truth as a foundational, potential force. What we mean by that is that the energy of Justice is not held but merely entwined with the person who reveals the card. Truth is important and yet there is a step beyond truth which is integrity, the Justice card brings this energy in beautifully.
We see the Justice card as a card of belief. Do you believe in yourself enough to encourage discernment into being? Do you choose to use your words, actions, and emotions wisely as the soul desires? Do you claim the birth right of your life as though that birth right was feeding a hunger?
This card is balance, unity, and revelation through the art of entwining the Self with the Other through revealing who that Other is within You.
Reversed:
Dishonesty, lies, confused interpretation and a system which is out of balance. Laws in the human realm were originally placed to protect and support, the Justice card reversed brings with it a sense of misfortune in the laws which have been implemented. However, every card has its medicine. What is the turth within the system? The sword of discernment will direct you into being more honest, this sword falls onto those who require it at the exact right moment in the exact right way. The irony with the Justice card reversed is that the law of truth is universal, which means there is nothing which is not true. However, for humans – make sure you are being honest with yourself, fair with others, and create clarity through diving into heart centred action.
