Message from Dilara
The Empress card is a card whose energy is both greatly needed during this time, and inherently present at all times. Her energy is woven in the threads of all we see and do not see, she is an invitation for us to align ourselves with the inexhaustible flow of creative potential. The Empress represents the creatrix, the one who sustains, and nurturers all of life’s expressions. The mother within each of us whose intent is to carry and care for her inner and outer creations. She represents the consciousness of Gaia, the belly of physical abundance. The mother leads with compassion, she magnetises to her that which is essential to the tapestry of growth, her wisdom is strengthened through embodiment. By reaching into the depths of us, the womb axis, she draws up a well-spring of certainty.
The Empress naturally grounds in her creations, holding space for the embodiment of flow, the sinew of all existence. The Empress lives within the matrix of our creative life force, surrounding and infusing us with pleasure, earthly desires, and sensations. She is the physical womb, a tangible, concrete prosperity. Qualities of life which are real, affected, connected and alive.
When The Empress appears to you in a reading or in your dreams know the mother within is reaching toward, guiding the circumstances of life into a bountiful experience. Bringing in nurture, creation, creativity, pleasure, and life force. She who knows through the body. She who grips nothing yet draws to her her exact fill through the awareness of her creative power. She is the pleasures of the world. One who has claimed them, earned them through acknowledging the emotive force of the physical realm.
Reversed
In its reversed position The Empress can represent a block in creative flow, including the desire or need to keep a creative project or idea to oneself. Rather than receiving the pleasures of the natural world there could be a sense of separation from the flow of abundance which creates us. When this card appears in its reversed state The Empress offers us a great opportunity for growth through tending to the well-spring within us. If there are any feeling of stagnation – self-care is the answer, bringing forward the energy of the mother into any spaces our lives really require it.
Message from the Herd
Because of the nature of this card as you have highlighted above, we must bring in the cyclical element of its power. All is created in and upon a cycle, a wheel of movement which, through its presence, the divine nature is recognised. What cycle are you in in your life right now? That particular cycle has been created, nurtured, and expressed for you by the mother within and without.
Due to The Empress’s representation as the planet we inhabit, this card reminds you all of what is true in any situation and how in that situation there can simultaneously be multiple truths at once. The Empress carries an array of multiple possibilities, she embodies the destiny of multiple physical timelines.
As the card represents the planet at large it asks you to contemplate your relationship with your mother (literal and symbolic). How do you speak to your mother? How do you think about her? Are you in reverence and respect of her creation of you? And in turn, what is your relationship within you as the mother archetype? Regardless of whether you have children, you are the creator of your life through your words, thoughts, projects, friendships and intimate relationships. How do you tend that which you create and hold space for?
The Empress also represents grounding down inspiration. It can be easy to feel inspired when connected to the natural rhythms of life, are you also bringing in the embodiment of that inspiration? Are you tuning into the roots of the messages you are receiving? Are you listening with nurturing ears? Everything you see around you is both literal and symbolic, the depths of that symbolism and the quantity with which the symbols appear is a personal journey for each individual. Can you explore what truths you are currently facing from both a symbolic and literal standpoint? By doing this you nurture the possibility of change, you create a pathway of discovery, you sustain potentiality with your own awareness. This is the mother in you.
Prayer to the Mother
Mother, you who create and sustain me, I open now to the visibility of you in my life. Thank you for helping me to embody the depth of truth I choose to live by. Thank you for magnifying to me, through your eyes, all that is needed now to nurture love. May I be aware, in reverence, of the eternal compassion you offer through your presence. Thank you for encouraging me to rise from the void, reborn and in devotion to that which is, in each and every moment.
