Sign: Cancer
Element: Water
Numerology: 7
Numerologically speaking the number VII is associated with spiritual discernment, following ones intuitive nudges, wisdom, inner guidance, divine presence, and seeing what needs to be seen. As this is a number of self-awareness the VII also invites in a sense of grounded truth in knowing. Without clarity and the courage to take wisdom as it is and things at face value we could slip into the ether too much, the VII brings us back to earth and up to the heavens.
Message from Dilara:
The Chariot is a card which truly has multiple meanings behind it. True to its Cancerian nature it is a card of emotional fluctuation, emotional abundance, sensitivity, reflection, and a protection of all of the above. The Chariot says to us ‘feel, and learn to protect yourself with grace, discernment, and wisdom even in the depth of your feeling nature’.
The Chariot invites us to observe where there may also be a division between work and play, pleasure and responsibility. What in your life are you manifesting through your sensitivity and emotions which may deter you from your passions? However, the opposite can also be true. Where are you creating space between how you show up for work and how you show up for your family in a healthy way? Harnessing different sides of you and presenting them to the world in a way which feels aligned for how you need to manage your energy! The presence of the chariot itself in the image brings our attention to where or how in our lives are we setting forth, embarking on an adventure of the self?
The Chariot card can also represent a development of masks you may feel you need to wear to ‘get through the day’. Because this is a card of deep feeling, inner understanding, and outer appearances there is an inherent journey which comes along with those attributes. This is a card of action, whether that is inner or outer is up to you! Because of this, The Chariot reminds us where we have made choices and are now ready to take action on those choices. There are other schools of thought who consider the Chariot to be a card of diligence, determination, and the act of moving forward in life form a place of knowing. The opposite of passivity.
Reversed:
Reversed, this card offers us the opportunity to look at where we may be stagnant in our development. It can represent the build-up of un-felt or supressed emotions, energy, action, decisions, and the determination to move forward. The Chariot reversed also brings in a sense of ‘who am I?’ and a feeling of have your boundaries crossed. Where do you need to become more aware of your personal energy? Who or what in your life is crossing your (very necessary) boundaries whether that is physical, psychological, or energetic. The Chariot reversed says ‘let yourself be freed by getting a hold of your energy and marking your place in the world.’ It invites us to check in with ourselves and be humble whilst doing so! Where are you in need of movement?
Message from the Herd:
Strength as you know it is a way of constructing life, which is a way of expressing the same self you were born with. The sense of self which comes through having the strength to build up your life from scratch is part of what this card represents. We are asking you to focus on the image of the card here. Ones perspective of being strong and upholding values can be seen as denying other traits. However, what we are presenting is the possibility that strength is also subtle, soft, and to be aware of once’s sensitive make up is to be aware of the strength which forges your experience of life into being.
Journeying, this card also holds a journey within it. we know this has already been discussed and we are bringing in a different perspective: The journey of life as a mirror of desires and choices. It’s all a fabric, an art piece of what you need. And what you need often ends up being a choice of awareness. This card lets you know where in your life you have aligned circumstances, and where in your life you need to move forward to embrace the circumstances you can accept from forces beyond the mind. The creator of this card wove in the element of water to ensure a remembrance of the strength and power of flow.
Let people, let yourself, let those around you know what your flow IS. Strike up courage and strength through vulnerability. We often see humans who know their power yet do not take action, this card is a mover, a shaker, a spur of action into life which, as we have said, is part of your expression. Because this card allows movement to be present this is a gateway for embodiment, the figure must be taken symbolically for the body of the human and the body of the practice of being human. This is important. What practice of knowing your body are ushered into at this time?
Reversed:
Reversed The Chariot card simply brings forward the representation of nature. Slowing down. Being still. Movement at the right time. However, because human beings need to be in constant understanding of the nature of who they are – speaking literally – you may need to address any choice to turn away from truth. Avoidance. Disembodiment. The need for constant renewal and movement.
